Norway Church to hold Heifer Project Fair

NORWAY - On Saturday, November 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main Street in Norway, will be holding its annual Heifer Project Fair under the big white tent. According to Mickie Shibles, chairperson of the mission committee, "The Heifer Project Fair is a wonderful way for all of us to give thanks, by giving to others."

Whether you are looking for a Christmas gift for someone who has everything, for a "green" gift, a gift that "keeps on giving" or a gift that will "bring hope to the World," please stop by the church parking lot before and during the merchant parade to hear about Heifer Project, the youth group's mission trip and warm your hands on a hot cup of cocoa or coffee.  The proceeds from the fair will benefit Heifer Project, International.

This year's fair is being organized by Beth Allen and Johanna Timberlake and will feature quilted animal pot holders, shares of flocks of chickens and beehives, Christmas ornaments, crafts, fudge, cookies, hot corn chowder, coffee, cocoa and raffle tickets for an exquisite, hand made "Old MacDonald's" quilt.

If you would like to donate baked goods or crafts to the Heifer Project Fair, please contact the church office at 743-2290.

The Second Congregational Church, U.C.C. is an open and affirming congregation.  All are welcome to worship, study and join in fellowship.  Worship and Church school is every Sunday at 10 a.m.  For more information, please call the church office at 743-2290.
