First Universalist churches of Norway and West Paris invite community

NORWAY/WEST PARIS — The First Universalist churches of Norway and West Paris invite people seeking a liberal religious church home to join them for Sunday services. This coming Sunday, the service is titled “Assessing C Street.”

Jeff Sharlet, the author of the best-selling book “The Family,” continues his examination of the political influence of ultra right-wing fundamentalism in Washington, DC in his latest book, “C Street.” The service will explore whether or not Sharlet exposes a true danger to American democracy and what his work could mean for liberal religion. The Reverend Richard Beal will conduct both services and special music will be presented.

The service at West Paris is at 9 a.m. and the service at Norway begins at 11 a.m. Child care is available and people of all religious traditions, or none, are welcome and invited to attend and take part in the unique approach to Christian and other religious practices.
