Universalist

PARIS — The May 20th worship service at the South Paris First Universalist Church on Pine Street will be led by Silver Moore-Leamon. The 10 a.m. sermon title is "Welcoming Change."

Music is under the direction of Joyce Franklin and the Sunday School is led by Renee Wales. Coffee and fellowship will follow the worship service and all are welcome. Child care is available.

Congregational

SUMNER — Summer Sunday School at the Congregational Church of East Sumner started on May 13 and included the planning, planting and maintenance of the Youth Garden.

The Annual 3 in 1 plus Raffle Sale will be held in the Church yard on Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be a yard sale, with gently used items, knick knacks, gardening items, housewares and books; a bake sale with delicious foods, cookies, cakes, pies, bread, bars and brownies and a plant sale featuring mostly perennial flowers.

Some starter shrubs and vegetable seedlings will also be there. Raffle items will be announced later.

The church is located on Route 219 in East Sumner village at 50 Main Street.

Spiritualist

HARTFORD — "Mediumship Development" will be presented Sunday, May 27 at 12:30 p.m. at the Hartford Town Hall, 1190 Main Street in Hartford.

Bob Foster has been practicing mental mediumship for over 30 years and has taught classes on mediumship development in many Spiritualist churches in Maine.

A mental medium is one who interprets messages from spirit entities and communicates these messages to people here on earth. This class will concentrate on demonstrating mental mediumship by tuning in to the vibration of spirit and qualifying and identifying that energy.

Beginning in June, a Healing Circle will be offered after the Sunday church service to allow those interested in pursuing the practice and understanding of Spiritual Healing an opportunity to learn and participate in the Laying on of Hands.

Beginning June 4, regular mediumship development classes will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Hartford Town Hall.

Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Center will be suspended for the summer in July and August. However, its services and activities will continue at the Pinpoint of Light Camp.
