Norway Savings Bank announces promotions
NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank is pleased to announce several recent officer promotions within the bank. “Our bank culture fosters an environment of high achievement and support. We recognize and appreciate employees who demonstrate our cultural attributes and embrace a commitment of exceptional service,” explained Robert Harmon, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “These eight individuals are very deserving of their promotions.”
Anna Cece Colpitts – Assistant Vice President, Commercial Credit Analyst: Anna Cece Colpitts has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Credit Analyst. Colpitts joined the bank in 2004 as a Commercial Credit Analyst in the bank’s southern region. She supports the Commercial Lending Officers primarily in the Bank’s southern region, but also provides additional support for the western region lenders. Over the past six years, Colpitts has successfully completed courses and seminars related to commercial lending, commercial real estate topics and real estate appraisal review. She is an active member of many bank committees and works in the Congress Street, Portland office.
Kurt Garascia – Vice President, Investment Officer: Kurt Garascia has been promoted to Vice President and Investment Officer with the Norway Savings Asset Management Group. Garascia joined the bank in January 2004 as an Investment Specialist and received the title of Assistant Vice President in January 2005. He is a member of several bank committees and works in the Congress Street, Portland office. Garascia earned his Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Maine at Orono. He is also an active participant in his community, working with the New Meadows Watershed Partnership and with the Maine Tennis Association.
Cindy Hakala – Assistant Vice President and South Paris Branch Manager: Cindy Hakala has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and South Paris Branch Manager. Hakala joined Norway Savings Bank in November 2006 as a teller in the Norway office and quickly transitioned to the Customer Relations Supervisor in the Oxford In-Store branch in September 2007. In January 2009, she accepted the position of Branch Manager for the South Paris office. Hakala is a very active member of the Oxford Hills community. She is currently serving as a director for the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce and REACH, and is the Vice President of Kiwanis.
Anita Hamilton – Assistant Vice President, Commercial Credit Analyst: Anita Hamilton has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Credit Analyst. Hamilton joined the bank in 2001 as a Clerk/Analyst. In 2002 she became a full time Commercial Credit Analyst in the Main Office in Norway. Over the past nine years, Hamilton has successfully completed various courses and seminars related to commercial lending, commercial credit analysis, commercial loan documentation, real estate appraisal review, and construction monitoring. Outside of work, Hamilton currently serves as trustee for the Norway Historical Society.
Irene Millett – Assistant Vice President Senior Commercial Credit Analyst: Irene Millett has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Senior Commercial Credit Analyst. Millett joined the bank in 1999 as a Loan Processing Clerk. Over the past 11 years, she has worked her way up through the Commercial Credit department, recently serving as Assistant Vice President, Commercial Credit Analyst since 2007. Millett has successfully completed courses and seminars related to commercial lending, commercial credit analysis, commercial loan documentation, and real estate appraisal reviews. Millett currently serves as Chair of the Town of Norway Select Board.
Tina Ruhland – Assistant Vice President, Junior Commercial Lender: Tina Ruhland has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Junior Commercial Lender. Ruhland originally joined the bank as a part-time Teller in the Windham branch and was late promoted to Customer Service Representative in the Naples branch. In 2007, she was promoted to Junior Commercial Lender in the Norway office. Ruhland has become active in the Norway community, including providing extensive volunteer work at The Progress Center.
Chuck Williams, Vice President, Finance and Accounting: Chuck Williams has been promoted to Vice President, Finance and Accounting. He joined Norway Savings Bank in February of 2005 in the Commercial Lending department and transitioned to the Finance department in 2007. Williams graduated from Thomas College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance/Economics. He is currently working toward the AIB Bank Financial Management Diploma through CFT.
Pamela Veilleux - Assistant Vice President, Executive Administration: Pamela Veilleux has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Executive Administration. Since joining the bank in 2002, she has provided support to the Board of Directors and the executive management team. Veilleux previously worked for the bank from 1988 to 1998. Over years, Veilleux has earned five CFT diplomas, including Bank Operations, General Financial Services, Advanced Financial Services, Consumer Lending, and Mortgage Lending.
