Family Practices welcome DeCotiis
NORWAY — Oxford Hills Family Practice and Western Maine Family Practice are pleased to announce that Dawn DeCotiis, F.N.P.–C, has joined their group. DeCotiis has most recently been on staff in the Emergency Department at Stephens Memorial Hospital for nearly three years.
DeCotiis will split her time between the practices. Kyle Philips, Practice Manager shares, "We are so pleased to have Dawn join the Family Practice team. She is a welcome addition to our practices and we are excited to offer improved primary care access to our community."
DeCotiis earned her nursing degree from Eastern Maine Medical Center, her Bachelor of Nursing from Regents College, and her Masters in Nursing, Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She also possesses a Post-Masters Certificate in Nursing Education, and is ANCC Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
During her nursing career, DeCotiis has worked as a staff nurse at several hospitals throughout the state; she has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Occupational Medicine, and in local emergency rooms.
The Oxford Hills Family Practice group includes physicians Dr. James Eshleman and Dr. Adam Kazimierczak, along with nurse practitioner Anna Davis. Western Maine Family Practice physicians are Linda Gifford, D.O., Lisa Miller, M.D., and Allan Reis, M.D., as well as nurse practitioner Cynthia Holmes.
DeCotiis notes her excitement at joining the practices, “I have come to love this area while working in the emergency department, and working in the Oxford Hills and Western Maine Family Practice offices gives me the opportunity to establish long term relationships with patients. Getting back to primary care is a great way for me to foster these relationships and balance my lifestyle.”
