Free seller server training
NORWAY — Healthy Oxford Hills will sponsor a Retail Beverage Service Training Program on Tuesday, March 1 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Norway Town Office. This training program is approved by the State of Maine and will be presented by Frank Lyons of BC Consultants. Frank spent 23 years as a Liquor Enforcement Officer and is a certified instructor with the Maine Criminal Justice Academy.
The training is geared toward owners, managers and employees of alcohol sellers, and will cover false ID detection and carding policy, alcoholism and how alcohol affects the body, signage rules and regulations, the Maine Liquor Liability Act and more need-to-know information for employees and owners.
State-approved training is an effective tool to prevent costly violations, be an active part of reducing underage drinking in your community, instill more confidence in employees, managers and owners alike and possibly reduce Liquor Liability Insurance (check with insurance provider).
There will be no official break for lunch, but a light meal will be provided.
For more information or to register for the training, please contact Heather Westleigh at Healthy Oxford Hills: 592-5047 or heather@healthyoxfordhills.org.
