Farmers' union announces top management promotions

OXFORD — Paris Farmers Union’s owner and CEO Peter Chapman announced on January 1 that Marc West has been promoted to the office of President of Paris Farmers Union. For the last several years West has been the manager of the corporation’s Farm Sales and Service Division, Wholesale Division Buyer, Credit Manager & Warehouse/Logistics Manager. West takes on the oversight of all day to day operations of the 92-year-old Maine-based company, which includes the Retail Sales Division, Wholesale/Warehouse Division, Farm Sales & Service Division and the Municipal/Contractor Sales Division.

On January 10, Paris Farmers Union President, Marc West announced the promotion of two key management individuals to the positions of Vice President. Dan Cox has been promoted to the position of Vice President in charge of Wholesale and Logistic Operations. Cox has been a member of the Paris Farmers Union team for 30 years, including 12 years as a store manager, years years in sales and for the past 13 years has served as the Manager of the Wholesale Division. Cox will now oversee the Wholesale, Warehouse and Trucking operations for the company. Fred Rolfe has been promoted to the position of Vice President in charge of Retail Operations and Marketing. Rolfe has been a member of the Paris Farmers Union team for 24 years and has been the Retail Store Operations & Marketing Manager for the past 22 years.

Also promoted to an added position of responsibility was Bruce Beecher. Beecher has taken on the added title and responsibilities of Credit Manager. Beecher has developed and managed the Paris Farmers Union Municipal/Contractor Sales Division for the past eight years, providing liquid calcium chloride, pipe, salt, sand, a variety of chlorides for ice melting and dust control and much, much more to towns, counties and contractors throughout northern New England. Beecher will continue to fill the position of Municipal/Contractor Division Manager as he takes on the additional responsibilities of Credit Manager.
