Lovell Historical Society's Christmas open house

LOVELL — On Sunday, December 19, from 1 to 4 p.m., the Lovell Historical Society will be holding a Christmas Open House at the historic 1839 Kimball-Stanford House. As part of the festivities, the Kimball-Stanford House will be decorated for the holidays and the museum exhibit will be open, featuring a display of local artifacts. An assortment of holiday "goodies" will be offered in the Bakeshop along with free refreshments to all. Several local artisans - such as Harvest Gold Gallery, Old Stage Farm and Hilltop Handspun - will be selling their wares. Additionally, children will have the opportunity to decorate their own cookies, again free.

Also available is the opportunity to win one of four raffle prizes: a $100 gift certificate to Ebenezer's Restaurant & Pub, a $100 gift certificate to Harvest Gold Gallery, a $100 gift certificate to the Center Lovell Inn, and a $100 gift certificate to Lovell Hardware. Tickets for the raffle are $5 for a book of six or $1 each. The raffle drawing will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets may be purchased either by calling the Historical Society at 925-3234 or by buying them that day.

The Kimball-Stanford House is at the corner of Route 5 and Old Stage Road (across from the Lake Kezar Country Club) in Lovell. For more information, visit the Society's website at lovellhistoricalsociety.org.
