'Glimpses of Maine' at Norway library

NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library is currently exhibiting prints by Poland artist Joan Bellucci. Joan is both a practicing artist and an art teacher. She is a graduate of Emmanuel College's Fine Arts Degree program, and over the years continued her education at Massachusetts College of Art, Framingham State College, the Worcester Crafts Center, the Boston Fine Arts Museum School and the Decordova Museum School.

More recently, after retiring from public school teaching in 2001 and moving to Maine, Joan has studied silk screen printing at Central Maine Community College and has given art lessons in her home for high school-aged students. Joan's accomplishments in a variety of media make her an extremely versatile artist.

The works currently on display are prints of paintings in a variety of media including watercolor, pen and ink with watercolor, acrylic, gouache and pastel. They depict scenes from around Maine. The prints may be seen anytime the library is open and will be on view through March.
