Community Chorus sings again

SOUTH PARIS — After a holiday break, the Oxford Hills Community Chorus eagerly begins singing again. Formed in September of 2010, the group decided to forego a holiday concert and took a break. On Thursday evening, January 20 at 6:30 p.m. the group will meet upstairs at the First Congregational Church of South Paris, across from the Fox School. Dan Allen and Faye Hill will be welcoming back established members and anticipating new ones.

The music varies widely with material from Billy Joel to Broadway to Classical. Director Dan Allen states “In a community like ours the eclectic programming makes it likely there is at least one really loved song for everyone. We are blessed to have singers from high school age to old age. The building camaraderie is so enjoyable.”

It is not too late to join. The group is non-auditioned. The only requirements are a desire to sing or learn to sing and the ability to laugh. For more information call 743-6001 or just show up at the First Congregational Church in South Paris at 6:30 p.m. one upcoming Thursday evening.
